"Life is simpler in black and white." This line, uttered midway through Bored in the U.S.A., could well serve as the film’s thesis statement. Following the budding friendship of Kelly (Kelly Lloyd, Wits End), a bored housewife, and Chris (Chris Milner, Comedy Central), a displaced Londoner, this film takes an honest look at life by disposing of conventional on-screen relationships. Bored exposes the inherent drama in the silences between what people say and don't say to each other.

Madeline got the part! She’s going to play the lead in a theater piece! Except the lead wears sweatpants like Madeline’s. And has a cat like Madeline’s. And is holding a steaming hot iron next to her mother’s face – like Madeline is. Madeline (newcomer Helena Howard) has become an integral part of a prestigious physical theater troupe. When the workshop's ambitious director (Molly Parker) pushes the teenager to weave her rich interior world and troubled history with her mother (Miranda July) into their collective art, the lines between performance and reality begin to blur. The resulting battle between imagination and appropriation rips out of the rehearsal space and through all three women’s lives.

Featuring Red Bank native Jason Mewes in a hilarious supporting role and featuring the first performance by Randy Quaid in 9 years, “Weight” is an inspirational film that uses comedy to relay its message to the audience. It’s described as a modern day John Candy movie, if he decided to lose weight and get healthy. With a similar tone to Judd Apatow films such as “The 40-Year-Old-Virgin” or “Knocked Up,” our story follows a 300 pound, 27-year-old named Ben, who can’t seem to take his health seriously until a series of events gets him motivated.http://weightthemovie.com/
